I was surprised when I got there they actually had smoked chicken breasts so I ended up eating one of those and a small scoop of potato salad and baked beans. Then for dessert I ate a piece of birthday cake about 1"x1". I also drank 3 bottles of water while I was there so really I didn't do that bad at all. <br /><br />Tammy I did stay busy with the camera I think I took a couple hundred pictures. They had a horse there for us to ride and my brother has a childs four wheeler and an adult four wheeler so we had all kinds of things to keep us entertained and I love taking pictures of my kids doing things they haven't done before.<br /><br />Wendy I know how you feel. I can't tell you how many times I have told my husband that it is not fair that I can't just eat whatever I want and I have to exercise the way I do but we have to change that thinking. I would love to be able to eat whatever I want but thats just not in the cards for me and plus how healthy would our bodies be even if we could do that and not gain weight. We are doing what we have to do to live a long, happy, healthy life. I'll get the salmon, but I have a feeling it's going to have a hundred thousand calories anyway, so I'm going to eat half of the salmon and none of the stuff on the side unless it's vegetables. I'm also not going to drink anything but water, diet soda and tea..holding off on the alcohol- it's not necessary. <br /><br />Anyway, good luck! Let us know how it goes. I have noticed that when I tell myself what I will eat at a party or restaurant beforehand, I am generally better able to stick to it. The hard part for me is coming home and thinking, "I wish I had had some of ____, so since I didn't I will eat a little cookie (or chips or whatever)." That seems to be when I struggle, after the party. It is hard to not feel like dieting is punishment for me. I love food so very much and sometimes I feel like it's unfair. I am working on overcoming that and teaching myself that this is a choice I made and I am not being punished. Anyway, you are doing so well and I know you can conquer this party! ;-) I have a party to go to tonight as well.
