A Question?

I'm trying to get my eating back on track and find the motivation to exercise.  My question to all of you is what do you do to get back on plan with your weight loss?  What inspires you?


  1. I am planning to post about this on Friday: but, I was in a funk this week, too. To say it mildly, it was not my best eating week. But, today, I went to the attic and pulled out a box of clothes that were only a few months ago too small. Many of these clothes were ones that I "outgrew" as I gained weight, but quite a few were brand new items that I bought on super sale for when I "lost weight." Every single one of those clothes fit. Believe me, trying them on and seeing that I looked GREAT whipped my butt back into plan. I have more determination today than I had all week. So, Christina, you got any clothes hanging around that did not fit you a couple of months ago?? Give 'em a try! You might be surprised! Michele at

  2. I signed up (and paid) for 2 races in May, which has been my motivation to keep running. I also have told quite a few people about them and the fear of telling everyone that I have not been training is enough to keep me going.
    When I get in a real funk, I force myself to remember how good I feel after exercising. Then I bargain with myself. If I want to get in 30 minutes of exercise, when I start I will tell myself that I have to get at least 10 minutes in and if at that point I want to quit, I can. Usually by that time, I am already committed, I mean what is another 20 minutes.
    You can do it. Just stick with it. Every little bit will help.

I get inspired by little non scale victories - a skirt I haven't worn for a while fitting again, getting less winded when I walk up stairs, people noticing that I look healthier.....just little things like that keep me going.
