From as far back as I can remember I have been overweight and have attempted one diet after another to try to become that skinny girl I always dreamed of being. I'm starting this blog in hopes of using this as my motivational tool to finally change my lifestyle and get healthy. Feel free to cheer me on, give me advice or criticize me if need be. I'm way tougher on myself than anyone else can be on me.

A Question?
I'm trying to get my eating back on track and find the motivation to exercise. My question to all of you is what do you do to get back on plan with your weight loss? What inspires you?

I am planning to post about this on Friday: but, I was in a funk this week, too. To say it mildly, it was not my best eating week. But, today, I went to the attic and pulled out a box of clothes that were only a few months ago too small. Many of these clothes were ones that I "outgrew" as I gained weight, but quite a few were brand new items that I bought on super sale for when I "lost weight." Every single one of those clothes fit. Believe me, trying them on and seeing that I looked GREAT whipped my butt back into plan. I have more determination today than I had all week. So, Christina, you got any clothes hanging around that did not fit you a couple of months ago?? Give 'em a try! You might be surprised! Michele at

I get inspired by little non scale victories - a skirt I haven't worn for a while fitting again, getting less winded when I walk up stairs, people noticing that I look healthier.....just little things like that keep me going.
