From as far back as I can remember I have been overweight and have attempted one diet after another to try to become that skinny girl I always dreamed of being. I'm starting this blog in hopes of using this as my motivational tool to finally change my lifestyle and get healthy. Feel free to cheer me on, give me advice or criticize me if need be. I'm way tougher on myself than anyone else can be on me.

Quick Update: Exercise
Well I finally started exercising. I walked 3 miles yesterday and 5 miles today. Now if I can just get my eating under control everything will be fine. I'm still having binging and purging episodes and I'm hoping the exercise will help with that. It felt so great to finally start my walking back, thats why I walked 5 miles today, I didn't want to stop.

That is a great feeling- actually not wanting to stop doing something really healthy. :-) You're doing great... and you can do even better. Take your time and everything will pay off.
ReplyDeleteI'm relieved to hear from you. . . My mind turns to you oftener than you think. It's also good to see you're getting back on track. I'd like to see you "back on the wagon" again, so to speak.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to tell me what you do for a living, of course, but it would be interesting to hear how many hours you work a week, etc. I've read about the stress in your life, so I'm imagining taking care of your job, children, house, bills, etc., is trying. That's not to say that most of us don't have that, but in a case like yours, it's certainly not helping to give you the peace and rest you need. Does that make sense, or am I reading too much into your blog entries?
Anyway, it's great to see you're finding some time to walk and get healthy. Good going.
Christina, I am glad you are enjoying exercise. Sorry to hear you are struggling with bulimia so much. I hope you will find your solutions and happiness. Never give up!
ReplyDeleteAgreed w/ the above. Baby steps and you'll get there. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone, I've actually started going to the YMCA and working out with a friend. My eating still isn't the best and the bulimia keeps popping up but I'm getting there.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I know this will net you great results, maam.
