Clean Eating Day 7

Today makes one week of clean eating and I feel wonderful.  I've almost lost all the weight that I gained over the last 3 weeks which is amazing.  I get out of school early today so I plan on walking as long as its not raining so I'm working on getting back on track with my exercise to.

For breakfast I had 1 slice whole wheat bread, toasted with 1 tbls of almond butter and I had a protein drink made from 8 oz of soy milk, 1 scoop of Jillian Micheals triple chocolate protein powder and 1 tbls of ground flaxseed.

My midmorning snack was a protein shake made from 8 oz of soy milk, 1 banana, 1 scoop of Jillian Micheals protein powder and 1 tbls of ground flaxseed.

For lunch I had a low carb wrap with 3 oz grilled chicken, 1 cup alfalfa sprouts, 1 small package of gaucamole and 1 tomato.  I also had 1/2 a cucumber.

My midafternoon snack was 1 apple dipped in 1 cup Blueberry Greek Yogurt.

For dinner I was going to have a salad but I wasn't in the mood for that so I had the same thing I had for lunch for dinner, minus the cucumber.

I finally walked today around my neighborhood.  I got in 2.1 miles in 28 minutes.

  1. Sprouts make everything better. I've tried roasting my squash, but it doesn't look like your's. How do you do it? In the oven or a toaster oven?

  2. That has to feel great losing what you gained so quickly!
Just goes to show that when we do what our bodies crave it respondes the right way. I never thought I could cut out the ice cream but one day without it and I have not craved it since. I know I am going to see great results just from that alone!

  3. The squash that you have seen in the last few pictures was cooked on a griddle. I sprayed the griddle with alittle cooking spray and just put the squash on until it was brown on each side and cooked through. I actually like it roasted in the oven better. Cut the squash in thicker slices and sprinkle with alittle olive oil and roast in the oven, flipping over when they get brown on one side. Its so yummy.

  4. You are absolutely right reneasskinnylove, I'm finally doing what it takes to fuel my body instead of feeding my cravings. Good luck and I hope giving up the ice cream pays off.

  7. Excellent job on the eating clean.

I am very interested in your protein powder. Is it weird that the fact that Jilliam Michaels name is on it makes me think it will taste good? Shes a girl, a girl wouldn't make crappy protein powder for other girls right? Tell me if I'm right. Is it good?

  8. Thanks Michele and Katie.

Dani the first time I tried the protein powder it wasn't as chocolatey and sweet as I thought it was going to be but its alot better than I expected it to be. Now I considered it my chocolate splurge and I get to have it twice a day...yay.
