Weight Gain

I just weighed and I'm up almost 4 lbs.  This is really disappointing but I'm trying not to let it depress me.  Depression leads to more eating so I'm just making some changes over the next couple days before I have to weigh in.  Today I'm going to try to eat as little as possible and tomorrow I'm thinking about fasting.  I'm not to worried about this gain though because I have a feeling my time of the month is just around the corner and that maybe why I'm up alittle.  I also plan on walking as much as I can over the next couple of days and I'm going to really work on drinking as much water as possible to flush my system out.  The last thing I want right now is a weigh in gain right here before New Years.  I decided to make this post because if I tell all of you'll that I'm going to do this then it will help me to carry through with it.

  1. Sorry to hear about a gain on the scale :( You're weighing in kind of late though; is it just the food and water from the day sitting in your tummy or do you always weigh-in around this time of day?

    In regards to fasting, might I make a suggestion? Instead of fasting, how about doing a detox-y diet for a day or two? Like only unprocessed foods for two days, or only raw food for two days, or a high protein diet for two days? I find doing a little one or two day detox-y diet usually helps me when I am gaining or plateauing for no understandable reason.

    Hang in there, Christina! You have been doing really well lately! Just keep that in mind :)

  2. Finish out the year strong Christina! Make a push and gain some momentum for next year! I think the water drinking idea is a great one, and I bet the exercise would go a long way towards burning a few extra pounds too. Keep us updated!

  4. Thanks Joy, yea I weighed in when I woke up in the middle of the night. I normally weigh in first thing in the morning.
    Thanks Shane and Stephanie, one more day until weigh in and I'm going to make today as great as I possibly can. Only 8 more days in this year, where did the time go...lol?

  5. Sorry to hear about your gain too, but this too shall pass. Just get back to your good habits and this will soon be forgotten.
