From as far back as I can remember I have been overweight and have attempted one diet after another to try to become that skinny girl I always dreamed of being. I'm starting this blog in hopes of using this as my motivational tool to finally change my lifestyle and get healthy. Feel free to cheer me on, give me advice or criticize me if need be. I'm way tougher on myself than anyone else can be on me.

Welcome!!!!
When I first started this blog I never thought anyone would read it, I just figured it would be my own personal diary of my journey to lose weight. Now in only alittle over two months I am one away from having 40 followers. That is so incredible to me and means so much that anyone would want to take their time to read what I say and wish me luck and I just want to say thank you to you all. I try to visit each one of your blogs and comment as often as I can or when I can relate to a topic you have wrote about but my time is kind of limited so don't think that I don't care or I'm not cheering you on because I am. I know how much it means to have someones encouragement and support even if it is a stranger. All the well wishes and good lucks from everyone that visits my blog is what keeps me going and I truly mean that. If it wasn't for this blog I'm sure I would have given up along time ago and probably gained back the few pounds I have lost plus some. I am happier and healthier right now and thats thanks to all of you. I hope to make many more friends on here and one day return the wonderful gift that each one of you are giving me. Thank you and I wish you all the luck in the world with your weight loss.

I feel exactly the same. My blog gives me so much inspiration. I used to wonder why anyone would care what I do or what I say. Then as I started reading blogs I realized why people read. We are all on this journey, working toward this goal. It's a story. As I read your story and all of the other stories going on here, I get so involved and I really start to care about what happens. It's almost like a good movie; you just want to see it out to a happy ending. Either way, I am forever thankful for finding the weight loss blogging community and becoming a part of it. :-D
ReplyDeleteditto to what you said, and ditto to what Ms. Blubeari said. I wouldn't make it without the support of the blog world! I love reading everyone's successes (and short struggles).
ReplyDeleteNow you have 40 followers. LOL! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. It is so great to have so much support! I wish you well on your journey and I will be following you too!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Mary
Hi! I'm # 42 - isn't it great to get new followers? Thank you for stopping my blog and commenting. It's good to "meet" another "Hottie", as Steve is calling us! I wish you the very best on this journey, and hope you are finding as much support and inspiration (and humor!) as I have in the blog world. I see you've made great progress already. I'll be checking in to see how it goes for you. BTW, I love seeing that your main exercise seems to be walking - it's mine as well, though I do belong to a gym and do some strength training.
ReplyDeleteI'll be back to watch you succeed.
Thanks for stopping by! I started my blog more to keep me accountable and love that I'm getting to "know" other people through their blogs! Looking forward to getting to "know" you! You're diong a great job!!
ReplyDelete43 followers now. I found you through the Hot 100 Challenge and came over to wish you luck. I love your blog and I'm looking forward to reading more. I noticed that you posted some inspirational quotes. I must read them. I love quotes. So best of luck over the next 100 days and looking forward to supporting each other!
ReplyDeleteI'm the exact same way with my blog. I've had my recipe blog for about a year now but I started my weight loss blog just to keep myself accountable. I have found the weight loss community EXTREMELY helpful and I have enjoyed it much more than I originally thought I would. Not many of my posts are super inspirational, a lot of them are just "I ate good, off to bed" but it still helps me knowing I "have" to put something.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, glad to have met you, I'm still trying to find time to go through the whole Hot 100 list! I'll be following though!
lol! And I'm 45! :D Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'll be reading thru your posts a bit to catch up. We're gonna burn up this challenge! :D Deb
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to what you're saying!!! I'm sure I would have given up on my healthy journey a long time ago also, but the blogging community keeps me going!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'm also a mom of three boys! Mine are ages 9, 11, & 13!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your comments and your support and for becoming followers of my blog. I only hope that I can be as much motivation and support to you as I'm sure all of you will be to me. Good luck to everyone in this challenge and I hope all of you succeed at your goals. I'll be checking out each one of your blogs as often as I can. We are going to rock this next 97 days.
ReplyDeleteThere really is an amazing community of weight loss bloggers out here.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to reward myself with a Canon 7D too if I could only figure out how to convert lost weight to dollars. Damn, maybe I should have tried out for the Biggest Loser. ;)
MB that would be pretty cool if we got paid for losing weight. I can't wait to get a Canon 7D I just got a used Canon 20D a couple weeks ago and I love it.
ReplyDeleteHaving blog friends make all the difference :) Keep up the great work!
