Here are my updated weight loss pictures. I began my weight loss journey on August 10, 2010 at 247 lbs. As of this morning I weighed 225.6 lbs which means I have lost 21.4 lbs.
Here is the front view and I can't really see any difference but that doesn't matter because I can tell a difference in how my clothes fit and I have dropped 2 sizes, from a 20 to a 16.
Once again I don't see where I have lost any weight but thats ok eventually I will be able to see a difference in pictures.
I can tell, wow and 20+lbs lost is great! your arms and posture look better too, keep up the great work :)
ReplyDeleteI've had the same problem in the past re: not being able to see the weight loss in pictures.
ReplyDeleteSome people do their update pics in the same clothes as their "before" photo to help them notice.
I haven't tried that but I've been thinking about it... Maybe it would work for you?
Great job on the weight loss so far!
21 lbs and 2 dress sizes gone are fantastic. I can see a difference, especially in the side view. Excellent progress Christina!
ReplyDeleteI can't see the difference in me either but I'm told it's there. And YOU know it's there! Vee at http://veegettinghealthy.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThank you all. I know I can't see the difference right now but I will in future pics and then I will be glad that I took update pics all along. I think the problem might be that my shirts are so big that you can't really tell where I'm losing anything. I've never liked wearing tight shirts but maybe for this purpose it would be best.
ReplyDeleteWow congrats on 20+ lbs. lost! I can totally sympathize with you on not being able to see the change. I only lost about 5 lbs. But lost abou 2 inches on my waist! So my pants are hanging off me, but I look really no different. It will come for us, I know it will : )

Hi Lindsey I wish I had took my measurements but I never did but I can tell I have losted alot of inches. Yes it will come for us Lindsey.
ReplyDeleteI can tell, but I think if you want to see the results more in picts you have to make sure both you and the camera are in the same spot each time, you are closer in the second set, which probably makes you look bigger than you really are.
ReplyDeleteI can tell! Especially in your stomach and thighs! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteYou are right Thrice Blessed plus I used a different camera and my husband took the pictures and he knows nothing about a camera. I think I might start trying to use the timer on my camera and taking the pictures myself.
ReplyDeleteThank you Olivia.
ReplyDeleteHi. I am new to your blog. I like it! I found that I really noticed a huge difference in me when I hit the 30 lbs down mark. But like you said, I felt totally different by 20 lbs too! Keep up the great work!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a blog too if you are interested. I am down about 65 lbs so far.

Lindsey and Jennifer I am now a follower of both of your blogs. I will be reading more about both your weight loss journeys later tonight. Thank you both for following my blog.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Yesterday must have been progress pic day as I posted mine too! :)
ReplyDeleteOh I can see the progress. I think it is hard to see it in ourselves. Usually when I look in the mirror, I think "I am working so hard and for what? I still look horrible." It is a rare day that I think I look nice or can tell the difference. We are just so hard on ourselves. At least I am. Anyway, I can see the change. It may take more time for you to notice it, but it is there.
ReplyDeleteKandra I checked out your progress pics and left you a comment. You are doing a great job with your weight loss.
ReplyDeleteWendy I know exactly what you are talking about. I got ready earlier today to go to a birthday party and I actually thought I didn't look that crappy until I saw myself in some pics from the party and god I look awful. I can't wait until I can look at pictures of myself and be proud of what I see.
yea, def try to take progress pics in the same clothes. It makes a difference and it's easier to see/feel progress. God job on losing so much!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mimi I think I'm going to start wearing something thats more form fitting so I can see the difference. Even though it may be more embarassing at first it will pay off when I can look back and see what I did look like.
ReplyDeleteWhen you're heavier it takes longer to see a difference, but I can tell! You're doing great--keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteThank you iamgoingdown, this is another one of my fears I have faced, having my picture taken. One good thing about facing your fears they can't control you anymore.
ReplyDeleteI can tell, especially in your arms and tummy! I'll bet it shows in your face too. You're doing great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Charlotte you are so sweet. You know I didn't even think of taking a photo of my face so I could see if there was a difference.
