Another Monday

Am I the only one that hates Mondays?  I'm not sure why, I don't work so its not that I dread going back to work.  I go to school but I actually like going to school.  I do have to get the kids up for school but then I am free of kids for the rest of the day so its not that either.  I guess Mondays have just always symbolized the beginning of a new week.  A long week of getting up early and spending all day, everyday getting things done.  Maybe its just the laziness in me wishing I could just sleep in and not wake up until midday.

My typical day begins at 5am and doesn't end until 9:30pm.  I know thats an early bedtime but my husband suffers from insomnia so we go to bed pretty early which I don't mind because I'm exhausted by then.  At least I have no doctor appointments, school events or meetings this week.  You know the saying a mothers work is never done and thats absolutely true.  I just dread getting up and I'm always so tired and have to drag myself out of bed.  Maybe I need to take some kind of vitamin or something.

Does anyone else feel this way?  Have you found taking a vitamin helps?

  1. Yep, I know that feeling too. I think part of it is just that there's so much more structure and "have-to-do" items during the week (for me anyway) that it's not as much fun. And your day is a long one. Sure, take a vitamin and see if that helps. Probably won't hurt, right? I always try to remind myself that my kids won't always be little, and one day I'll miss all this. I don't always believe it when I tell myself that, but sometimes I do. :-)
    Have a good week!

  2. Im right there with you - a beggining of a week of working three 12hour shifts, getting my son to and from preschool, homework, cleaning, dinner, blah blah blah... it all just runs together. SHockingly in our crazy heads we have talked each other into trying for another kid next year - our son will be in kindergarten... just when things might get alittle easier... we are stupid!

I fould excercise to be very helpful with exhaustion and stress. I also had to go on an antidepressant - that helped more then I could have imagined! I also take a multi vitamin and a Stress B complex vitamin when I remember.

As we go into winter and its dark ridiculously early in the evening and dark in the morning - I struggle to keep my energy.

  3. Maybe thats it Charlotte, on the weekends even though I have the same stuff to do it just seems more relaxed and then during the week I'm trying to squeeze everything in before the kids and my hubby get home.

Christina your not stupid you just want a new addition to the family. And that might be nice to have one on one time with the new baby when it comes. I already exercise and I'm on an antidepressant to. I think I really need to start taking vitamins. I know what you mean about going into winter. I'm always less energetic on gloomy days. I think I have that seasonal affective disorder but I've never been diagnosed with it. I just know that I feel better overall during the sunny spring and summer months.

  4. I take vitamins every day and they definitely help. I notice a difference on the days I forget to. My husband recently started taking them as well and is feeling better and has more energy.

  6. A mother's work is never done - so very true! I find it helps to take a little soluble vit B-12. Don't know how it works but it does! :)
