Stressful day

This is going to be very brief because today has been such a sucky day.  First off I have a photography assignment due tomorrow that I have been trying to complete all weekend and I just haven't had much luck finding the kind of pictures I need to take.  Secondly, my husband and myself got up this morning to go to the mountains and he decides his breakfast is 2 honeybuns and then he stops by Hardees and gets a egg & cheese biscuit and a biscuit & gravy.  Now if thats not bad enough to eat all of that in front of me then he precedes to ask me numerous times if I want any.  Then on the way home he suggests we stop at Bojangles and get something and I said that I'm not eating fast food this month I've already told you that many times..  Thirdly, we argued all the way to the mountains and all the way home.  And lastly, I come home to find out that someone had cleaned out my checking account.  I live in North Carolina and someone used my debt card in Canada and they also had my pin number.  Now if thats not strange enough my mom called to tell me just last night that someone had cleaned out their account to.  So you can say this has been a pretty shitty day and if all that doesn't cause me to overeat then nothing will.

  1. That totally sucks. Those rotten Canadians (kidding, I'm a Canadian). The same thing happened to me, my card was used in Toronto and I'm miles and miles away from there, but luckily my bank noticed and shut it down so we were only out $200.00, which we got back. I think that if my hubby was eating all that the little devil that sits on my shoulder would have wanted to lovingly shove it in his face - lol. It's tough staying off fast food....so tough, but once you get through it...so worth it. Good for you for not caving.

  3. Thanks for the support. I have been going alittle crazy and crying on and off because its like someone has invaded my space if that makes sense. Now I'm scared to ever use my debt card again and just not knowing when the bank is going to get it worked out is alittle bit upsetting. Luckily me and my husband have seperate accounts so he is able to help me out with my money until my financial situation is fixed.

  6. Thank you Katie and Kaye. Oh I'm not going to let this effect me eating right and losing weight, if I did that the people who took my money would win twice. I'm just going to do what I have to do to get my money back and move on with my life. Eventually I hope this people get caught and that way they can't play with other peoples lifes.

  7. I am so sorry to read about the card. Part of my job deals with the security of debit cards. I am no expert, but since this happened to both you and your parents, you need to try and find the time you both used your cards at the same place or same time. That is likely where the fraud occurred.

  8. Maybe this is the weekend is nasty hubby weekend. Mine was terrible too but it's a new week so we'll hope for the best. I hope you got your money situation taken care of. We too had that happen, in Russia mind you. Good thing my bank caught it before I did and took care of it. Never had that much in my bank at one time, have to make it to have it but still what little bit is mine not someone elses.
Good luck and also good luck with you life style change. You look like you're doing wonderfully. Keep it up my friend.
    Take care and God Bless!!

  9. Hi Julie. Well I cancelled the card and filed a police report, now I just have to go to the bank today and sign some papers and find out how all this works to get this straightened out.

Steve I did talk to my mom and we compared out bank statements and she doesn't use her card anywhere near as much as I do but we did have one store in common so I told the police officier about it when I filed the report. I also asked him if there was alot of this being reported right now and he said it comes in spurts so I guess I'm not the only one getting ripped off. Its just sad that people are so greedy in this world that they take money that isn't even theirs and they don't care about the damage they are doing to that persons life.

  11. WHAT? That's insane! Both accounts cleaned out?

LOL @ just me. I was ready to rip into the Canadian comment. Phew.

I've never had my chequing account hacked into but I have had my MasterCard compromised more than once. The first time was from a company in the US and the second time, someone went into a bank branch in Montreal (I'm in Toronto) w/ my correct social insurance number (but wrong driver's license) and withdrew $4,000. In both cases, MC reversed the charges.

Men. They just never get it, do they. No, I don't want any thanks...I'm trying to follow a plan here. >:(
